Our Story

About the Riyaadah

Four decades of unity, competition, and community excellence.

Our Mission

More Than a Sports Event

The word Riyaadah (رياضة) comes from the Arabic, meaning "sports" or "athletics." Since 1986, this annual event has embodied that spirit — but its impact goes far beyond competition.

Hosted by the Community Masjid in Atlanta, the Riyaadah brings together Muslim families from across the country for three days of faith-centered fellowship, healthy competition, inspiring scholarship, and joyful celebration.

For over 40 years, this event has served as a touchstone for the American Muslim community — a place where old friendships are rekindled, new ones are forged, and the next generation of Muslim leaders, athletes, and community builders are inspired.
